Theme: The sovereignty of God in salvation.
Scripture: Jeremiah 18:1-6
Message:
Just as the potter molds the clay into a vessel, God shapes our lives according to His purpose. He desires to mold us into beautiful and useful vessels for His kingdom.
Imagine a skilled potter at work, carefully shaping a lump of clay into a beautiful and functional vessel. This is how God works in our lives. In Jeremiah 18:1-6, we see the image of God as the potter and us as the clay. He has a divine plan and purpose for each of us, and He is constantly at work, molding and shaping us to fulfill His will.
God’s sovereignty means that He has ultimate authority and control over all things, including our lives. He knows what is best for us and desires to transform us into vessels that reflect His glory. However, this requires our willingness to yield to His hands and allow Him to work in us.
Call to Repentance:
Yield your life to God’s control. Surrender your plans, desires, and fears to Him. Trust that He knows what is best for you and allow Him to shape you according to His perfect will.
Sinner’s Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to You. I believe You are the Potter and I am the clay. Shape me according to Your will. Amen.
Growing as a New Child of God:
- Seek God’s guidance in all areas of your life: Pray and read the Bible regularly to understand His will and direction for you.
- Be open to His molding and shaping: Allow God to work in your life, even when it is uncomfortable or challenging. Trust that He is making you into a vessel for His glory.
- Serve others with a humble heart: Reflect Christ’s love by serving those around you with humility and compassion.
May this message encourage you to trust in God’s sovereignty and allow Him to shape your life according to His divine purpose. Remember, just as the potter carefully molds the clay, God is at work in your life, creating something beautiful and useful for His kingdom.
